Each month shows a sketchbook page from one of my many drawing trips around Devon and Cornwall, as well as giving you suggested material swatches - think of it like a monthly shopping list inspiration for getting the colours you might need to capture the landscape around you!

In 2018 I set myself a personal project, six weeks drawing on location, a chance to reset my creative practice and explore Devon and Cornwall. Six weeks turned into six months, and at the beginning of 2019, I decided to continue the project indefinitely. Four years later, I felt it was time to bring them together. This project, which started with one sketchbook and a 6B pencil, has changed my life, both mentally and creatively. I loved putting this calendar together, with help from Studio Balfour, choosing my favourite drawings which link to the different months and seasons. Come with me as I draw on the top of windy Brent Tor or watch boats sail by in Readymoney Cove in Fowey.
