New Zealand Sketchbooks.

Filling almost four sketchbooks during my time in New Zealand didn't feel difficult. Every corner we turned as we travelled across the South Island, I would gasp and say, "This is the best view we've seen", a phrase I'd repeat during my month stay in December 2019. 

This book contains almost 100 full-colour sketchbook pages alongside photos from my travels around the South Island of New Zealand. It is more than just a collection of drawings; I've included much about my trip, including thoughts and feelings about visiting such a magical place.

Whether you're sitting down with a cup of tea to read it from cover to cover, or if you're flicking through for some sketchbook inspo, I hope you love this book as much as I do. I've been dreaming of putting this book together for years, and it's incredible to see these four sketchbooks in one place. I hope you enjoy looking through and seeing this discovery of both New Zealand and myself as an artist.

"In December 2019, I travelled to New Zealand and drew almost every day for three weeks. I sketched in the car, from the train, and even on a boat at 5am, waiting for sunrise. I drew mountains, vineyards, cows, sheep, rivers, more sheep, barns, sunsets, and so much more. I sketched next to bright turquoise lakes and drew in forests on the cusp of the ocean, and by the end of the trip I'd filled four sketchbooks. The result is this travel journal which shares all my sketchbook pages and a few stories along the way; I can't wait for you to see more."
